Damage Shield
A damage shield is a type of buff that adds a small counter-attack response to incoming weapon damage.
Mechanics
If a player buffed with a damage shield is attacked with a weapon (as opposed to a spell), the attacker is automatically damaged for a specific amount per successful attack.
This is particularly devastating toward users of light, fast weapons such as daggers or unarmed since their damage is spread out over many more individual attacks.
