Damage Absorber
A damage absorber is a type of buff that provides high resistance to specific types of damage, but fade after taking a certain amount of that damage.
Mechanics
Damage absorbers typically provide resistance up to and over the damage resistance cap (75%), resulting in the buffed player taking only about a quarter of the intended damage. However, once the player has received a certain amount (typically 1,000) damage of one of the resisted types, the damage absorber will fade.
