Overview The Confessor purges the sins of the wicked masses through his affinity with the Cleansing Flame. He is capable of rendering the most intimidating of foes frail and contrite through his zeal to Saint Malorn. His spells are capable of making a sword arm heavy with guilt, stop one in their tracks, or sentence the condemned to all manner of essence-draining and sin-smoldering tribulations. The Confessor's spells can also shield his allies from the weapons of heretics and reignight their will to fight. When piloted with discipline, the class becomes a force multiplier—able to pivot between responsibilities fluidly. Its toolkit allows for rapid triage through direct healing or health/mana transfers, mitigation via Steadfast Congregation, steady pressure damage on priority targets, and supplemental crowd control when required. Because the core abilities feature short cast times, the kiting tempo is smooth and relatively easy to internalize. Training points are limited, so allocation must be strategic. Prioritize Grandmaster ranks only on high-impact abilities; treat others as secondary optimizations. Core abilities that define the class and should not be omitted include: Purge Wickedness, Purgation, Contrition, Brand the Wicked, Kiss of the Martyr, Steadfast Soul, Steadfast Congregation, Sanction of the Temple, Blessed Mending, Blessed Healing, Contagion, and Summon. Shield Block is exceptionally efficient for caster builds, offering pure defensive value with no inherent trade-offs. Activate it immediately when pressure escalates. The Confessor is susceptible to crowd control chains. Investing in Unwavering Faith from the Sanctifier discipline significantly improves resilience. Additionally, Defy the Witch is highly effective for removing low-stack control effects such as roots and snares, and should be used proactively to prevent lockdown scenarios.
